The Dickinson ISD Education Foundation is excited to introduce the Micro Grant Program, a resource designed to support the amazing teachers and staff of Dickinson ISD. The goal of the program is to provide just-in-time, impactful funding for small projects that help enhance classroom learning, improve student engagement, or support innovative ideas. Whether it’s new materials, small tech upgrades, or supplies for a special project, this program is here to help educators bring their ideas to life without waiting for budget cycles.
Unlike the larger Innovative Teaching Grant Program, which typically funds more substantial projects, the Micro Grant Program focuses on the smaller needs — up to $500 — that often arise throughout the year. These might include classroom art supplies, resources for after-school tutoring programs, or professional development opportunities that aren't typically covered by regular budgets. You could also apply for funds to support science lesson materials, student incentives, or decorations for a student showcase or campus program. The goal is to empower educators and staff to make an immediate difference without the long wait for traditional funding sources.
Here’s what you need to know about the Micro Grant Program:
- Open to all Dickinson ISD teachers and staff.
- Provides grants of up to $500.
- Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis throughout the year. Deadline to apply is April 1, 2025.
- Check out the DEF Micro Grant Program Guidelines for more details and to see if your project qualifies.
