Dr. Melissa Williams-Scott
Executive Director of Technology

I have been in public education for 29 years. I am proud to say that during those years I have had experience as a paraprofessional in special programs, a teacher, secondary and elementary campus administrator, an adjunct for two universities for pre-service teachers and now am in my 11th year with the Technology Team. I did not choose education as a career initially, but realized that not loving school yet having a passion for learning might help me help students that felt the same way. When not at work, I use technology as little as possible, love reading and spending time outdoors. My family (2 and 4 legged) are my greatest de-stressors. But...coming to work and seeing teachers do amazing things to grow our Gators into learners and leaders always brightens my day.

Minerva Medina
Secretary to the Executive Director of Technology

  • This is my 7th year working at DISD. I worked at BMS and DHS before joining Technology as the Department Secretary. I have learned so much working in this department and I hope to continue to keep growing my knowledge. I love my job and helping others. When I am not at work I love spending time with my family and having BBQ's out on the patio.

Charlotte Barkmann

  • I have been a Gator my entire life. Class of 1982. All 3 of my children are Gator Graduates and I look forward to seeing my Grandchildren have that Gator Pride. I have worked in the Technology Department for 21 years and have been a part of experiencing our Technology Growth. I am thankful to our School Board, Administrators, and Superintendents who, over the years, have continued to provide our District with the Infrastructure , Technology, and Resources that will help this Generation of Gators make a positive difference in this world. Always remember to take Pride on where you come from and Help those around you. Once a Gator, Always a Gator!

Jennifer Rushing

  • I have been in education for 18 years. I started teaching special education then moved into a 4th grade general education position for 8 years and Tech Apps for 2 years. This year will be my 8th year as our district's Elementary Technology Instructional Specialist. I have a love for teaching and molding young minds as well as a passion for technology. I believe that by blending the two, we can accomplish great things in Dickinson ISD. I am assigned to all seven elementary campuses and my number one job is to support you and your classroom digitally.

Deanna Williams

Technology Integration Specialist (Middle School & Junior High Campuses)

  • The old adage is true, “Once a Gator, always a Gator.” I graduated from DHS and have 2 children that are also DHS graduates (? 2020 and 2022). I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom until my son started 1st grade. I started my teaching career with DISD in 2010 as an art teacher at CRES. After 4 years in the classroom, I decided to work on my LIS certification and upon completion became the librarian at BMS for 2 years. From there I held a lead librarian position for 6 years, and the last year I was there I was also a campus technology liaison. I have always had an affinity for technology and enjoyed my role assisting teachers on the DHS campus. I am excited to serve and support middle school and junior high teachers as a Technology Integration Specialist. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, swimming, brunch with girlfriends, and snuggling with my 2 pups.

  • I am a 1986 graduate of Dickinson High School. I have been in the Technology department at DISD for 21 years. I've been in IT for over 25 years. I'm a proud member of a blended family of 4 grown adults, 2 kids and 2 step kids. My favorite thing to do outside of work is camping with my wife. I love all kinds of music. I'm a huge fan of Drum and Bugle Corps. I love living in the country with all kinds of animals around me. I recently decided to return to school to further my education in something totally new to me. I'll be finished in a couple of months. My favorite thing about working for DISD is the people. Gator Pride Never Dies!

  • This is my 15th year working in Public Education (3 in La Porte ISD, 12 in DISD). I grew up in Texas City, but I love being a Gator and wouldn't have it any other way! When not supporting teachers and students I enjoy spending time with my family and hanging out in the sand traps at the golf course.

  • My name is Brandon Peel, this is my 4th year working for Dickinson ISD as a PC Support Specialist at Dickinson High School. I previously worked for 5 years at Clear Creek ISD in the Technology Department providing technology support. I love being on site providing technology support to all the great employees of Dickinson ISD. Nothing makes me more happy than putting a smile on someone's face and making their day a little less stressful! I am proud to call myself a Dickinson Gator and thankful for the opportunity to work for this amazing district for many years to come! I am married with two wonderful children. My passion outside of technology support is spending time with my family and raising my kids. I consider myself very fortunate to come to work every day and support this great district!

Chad Castille
Network Specialist
  • I am starting year 10 in public education and year 4 in DISD! I am married to a former Gator and teacher and we have a dog. Outside of work, I enjoy competitive shooting, golf, fishing, and yard work. I learned way to much about yard work and gardening during our lockdowns! My time in education has been some of the most rewarding in my professional career. I started out as a PC technician for Clear Creek ISD and migrated to a more leadership role as a District Tech with the district which oversaw a School Community, 1 of the 5 main campuses and all its feeder schools, providing tier 2 support for campus techs and handling A/V events, and sporting events. I had the opportunity to join DISD as the Network Support Specialist, and can say that I was challenged to learn new skills, and technologies by my mentors and leaders. As I said, education has been the most rewarding part of my professional career, and knowing that I get to support our students, staff, and department, keeps things interesting and fun! Technology wasn't my first choice in career, but I am proud to say that I love what I do and glad I found my way to be a Gator with its awesome technology department, staff, students, and community.

Infrastructure & Security Team

Jonathan Hysquierdo
Infrastructure Manager

  • This is my 10th year working for DISD. They say, “when
you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.” That saying has
held true for me since becoming a Gator. I provide support for the physical
security and access control systems in district. Having held the previous titles
of PC Support Specialist and Network Specialist, I also assist in other areas.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors. Going camping is one of my favorite things to do. Back at work, supporting staff and
students to help them reach the end goal of graduation is truly rewarding.

Shaun Crouse

Infrastructure Specialist

  • I came to Dickinson ISD in December of 2019. He is the district's Security Systems Specialist. He was a local Army recruiter and recently retired with 20 years of service. During his time in the Army, Shaun attained a degree in IT and is glad to be working in the technology industry. He has lived in Dickinson for over seven years and really loves this community and enjoys giving back to the students of DISD. His two children attend Lobit Elementary.
