Dickinson ISD Board of Trustees Approves the Next Principal of Dickinson HS, New Principal of Dickinson JH

Dickinson ISD is pleased to announce the approval of principals for Dickinson High School and the new Dickinson Junior High.
Courtney Ramirez will be the next principal at Dickinson High School, and Temeka Brown will be the first principal at Dickinson Junior High.
Courtney is a positive, innovative, and visionary leader with 22 years of public education experience. She started her career at McAdams Junior High as a math teacher, and after eight years she went to Texas City ISD and served as a Math Instructional Specialist, Intermediate School Assistant Principal, High School Assistant Principal, Dean of Instruction, and Associate Principal. In 2019, Courtney returned to Dickinson ISD, and she has served alongside Dr. Billye Smith as the Associate Principal.
Temeka Brown is a driven, transformative, and visionary leader with over twenty years of experience in public education. Temeka served in Pasadena ISD for fourteen years as a math teacher, Assistant Principal, and Dean of Instruction. During this time, she worked closely with contractors, architects, and district personnel on the construction and opening of the Early College Program at Sam Rayburn High School. In 2018, Temeka came to Dickinson and served as one of the first assistant principals at Kranz Junior High, and in 2019, she was named as the Principal at Dunbar Middle School.
We are very proud of Courtney and Temeka. They are both dedicated DISD leaders committed to students, staff, and families, and they are passionate in their pursuits for cultivating excellence and providing collaborative, goal-driven, and inclusive learning environments for all. Congratulations!
