Infants – (6 weeks – 12 months)
Rosella Scott Gator Academy strives to provide a loving, nurturing environment to meet the physical and emotional needs of each child in our care. We understand that leaving your baby with someone else can be stressful. Therefore, we strive to work closely with you to meet your expectations and create the best environment for your baby while you are away. The infants are encouraged to freely explore their surroundings in a safe environment to develop gross motor skills as they begin to sit, crawl, and walk independently. Our Infant room teachers see it as a privilege to cuddle, sing to, and play with babies as they grow and experience each stage of their development.
First Steps & Toddlers – (12 months – 24 months)
Rosella Scott Gator Academy strives to meet each child’s individual needs and provide the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills. By introducing structured activities such as craft time, the children can use crayons, markers, glue, and paint under the strict supervision and assistance of the teachers. First Steps and Toddlers are not expected to be proficient in any of these activities, but introducing these things allows them to develop hand-eye coordination to get ready for feeding themselves with a spoon or fork. Teachers also introduce the children to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes.
