
National School Breakfast Week: March 2–6
For 60 years, the School Breakfast Program (SBP) has played a crucial role in setting students up for success by ensuring they start each day with a healthy, nutritious meal. As a federally funded program, SBP now provides more than 15 million breakfasts daily nationwide—often offering a more balanced option than meals eaten at home or on the go. Research consistently shows that students who eat breakfast are more focused, have better attendance, and perform at higher academic levels.
Dickinson ISD will join schools across the country in celebrating National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) from March 2–6. This year’s theme, “The Quest for School Breakfast,” encourages students to see breakfast as the first step on a path toward health and academic success. Throughout the week, campuses will feature special menus, fun promotions, and prize drawings.
Breakfast is served at no cost every day to every student in Dickinson ISD.
