Five Dickinson High School seniors have been selected to participate in the Shoot the Hoop scholarship event. The selected students are Quintrell Bloom, Quintin Cain, Emma Forte, Violet Wright, and Angel Melgares.

The students will participate on February 17 during halftime of the boys basketball game against Clear Lake. Each finalist will have the opportunity to shoot from the 3-point line for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship toward their future education.

Dickinson ISD thanks the Dickinson High School staff, cheerleaders, drumline, Gator Nation Media, and photography students who supported the finalists during Draft Day. The district also extends appreciation to the Dickinson ISD Education Foundation, its Cornerstone Members, Gulf Coast Educators FCU, and the PR/Education Foundation team for their planning, coordination, and continued support of student opportunities.
