Referrals Now Open through October 31, 2025.

Our district follows the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students, which requires that all identification processes be equitable, research-based, and aligned with state guidelines. Each year, parents, teachers, or community members may refer a student for GT screening. Referrals open during October and students will participate in multiple measures of assessment, including standardized tests, classroom performance, and teacher input.

Not every child will qualify for services, and placement is reserved for students who consistently demonstrate advanced intellectual ability and academic performance beyond their grade-level peers. We encourage families to consider a referral if their child shows exceptional creativity, advanced problem-solving, or consistently performs well above grade-level expectations.
