Dickinson ISD Breaks Ground on New 100,000 Sq. Ft. CTE Facility and Event Center
05/01/2025

Dickinson ISD marked a major milestone today with the official groundbreaking of its new 100,000-square-foot Career and Technical Education (CTE) facility and event center. Designed to serve the district’s 3,800 Dickinson High School students, the cutting-edge facility will provide expanded opportunities for hands-on learning, real-world skill development, and career readiness.

"Today's celebration is not just about the building, but it's the opportunities we are creating for 3,890 students who are attending Dickinson High School today," said Superintendent Dr. Rebecca Brown, "and for the future of 12,500 students."

The district extends its sincere appreciation to the community, voters, and numerous government and industry partners whose support made this transformative project possible. Special thanks were given to the Dickinson ISD CTE student officers, Fine Arts programs, Cheer team, and AFJROTC cadets for their role in making the groundbreaking ceremony a memorable occasion.

Dickinson ISD also recognized the vital contributions of the engineers, contractors, and construction teams leading the project, including valued partners at Arcadis and Gamma.

With construction now underway, the CTE facility and event center is expected to become a hub of innovation and opportunity — preparing students for careers in fields ranging from health sciences and technology to culinary arts, welding, and beyond.

The future is being built right here in Gator Nation.
