The district's high school and junior high dance teams represented the district well this weekend dance competitions. Congratulations to the Dickinson High School Diamonds, Dickinson Junior High Emeralds, Kranz Junior High Sapphires, and the McAdams Junior High Royals on all their awards. A special shoutout to the three junior high teams, which all placed in the top three in their category out of seven teams competing.
Dickinson High School Diamonds:
- Officers - Double Superior award and First Place in Contemporary and Lyrical
- Judges Award for Team 90 or above on three dances
- First Place for Team and Second Runner Up for Team Hip Hop and Jazz
- Overall Contest Second Place Pom and Judges Choice Award for Team Pom
- Overall Second Place Medium Team
- Challenge Elite Team and Runner Up Grand Champion Team
Dickinson Junior High Emeralds:
- Second place in Eighth Grade Solo for Ella Tate
- Officers - Superior Award for a routine with 85 or above and First Place Jazz
- Team Challenge Elite Award and Judges Award for three routines at 90 or above
- Second place in Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz and Medium Junior High Team
- Third place overall junior high team regardless of size classification
- Fourth place in Pom
- Second place in Officer Jazz and Team Jazz for Best in Class routines
Kranz Junior High Rubies:
- Grand Champions in their division
- First place in their division for Contemporary, Hip Hop, Kick, Jazz, and Pom
- Challenge Elite Award, Superior Performance, and the Judges Award
- First place overall regardless of division in Kick and Contemporary
- First Runner Up overall regardless of division for Hip Hop and Jazz
