Money for Meals for M.I. Lewis monetary donation drive - November 4-15, 2024
11/02/2024

Join Gator Nation in making a real difference in our community through Dickinson ISD's Money for Meals fundraising campaign benefitting the M.I. Lewis Social Service Center and Food Pantry. The donation drive will be held from November 4-15.

For the past 26 years, Dickinson ISD students, parents, and employees have been supporting the M.I. Lewis Social Service Center through this annual event, which last year raised $25,455.

M.I. Lewis is a lifeline for families in the area as they serve those in need living within the Dickinson ISD boundaries through emergency assistance, food and hygiene products, referrals to agencies or programs offering job training, literacy or other assistance. They also provide back to school supplies to approximately 1,500 Dickinson ISD students each August. M.I. Lewis sees more than 7,500 individuals each year, representing 22,000 family members. For every $1 donated, the center can purchase $10 worth of food through the Galveston County Food Bank.
