September Pledge Leader
Thank you to Lily Snyder, third grader at San Leon Elementary, for leading the pledges to the American flag and the Texas flag at the September 9 board meeting.
Texas New Mexico Power and CLEAResult Score and Load Shed Program
Josh Campbell, Program Manager with Texas New Mexico Power, presented Dickinson ISD with a $108,126 check for energy efficiency through participation in the annual CLEAResult Score and Load Shed Program. District highlight which helped account for the cash incentive include multiple chiller and HVA retrofits, roof replacements, LED light retrofits, and summer load management.

Dickinson ISD Head Building Keepers
There is an important group of employees working behind the scenes each day to make sure our buildings are clean and ready for students, teachers, support staff, and visitors. Whether it is cleaning and maintaining restrooms, picking up trash, dusting, mopping and so much more, the district’s 16 Head Building Keepers have an eye for details and lead the custodians at each facility to make sure the 2.65 million square feet of district facilities are cleaned.

Little; Lupita Garcia, Lobit Village; Raquel Pelico, San Leon; Abraham Morales, Silbernagel; Bernadino Romero, Barber; Susana Castillo, Dunbar; Juan Pelico, Dickinson Junior; Maria Coreno, Kranz; Alex Flores, McAdams; Gloria Gomez, Dickinson High; Maribel Cuadra, DCC/DALC; Nina Flores, ESC and Gator Academy; and Esther Lopez, Facility Services.
Teacher Incentive Allotment Recipients
Dickinson ISD had 35 teacher qualify to receive the Teacher Incentive Allotment during the August 2024 distribution. The TIA was created in 2019 as part of House Bill 3, and the goal of the program is to recruit, retain, and reward high-quality teachers by providing a state stipend based on performance. To receive a designation, a teacher must be National Board Certified or identified as a top-performing teacher per the standards provided by TEA as well as meet district criteria. The three designation levels are Recognized, Exemplary, and Master, and the stipend amount varies from $903 - $20,060 based on the designation level and current campus assignment.
