DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS (AUDIO/VISUAL PRODUCTION)

The Digital Communications: Audio/Video Production Program of Study explores all aspects of the production process, including writing, filming and editing. Students will be exposed to a wide range of media genres such as podcasting, film-making, broadcast journalism and other on-line content creation. Work created by students will be shared and published on a variety of platforms, including both on and off campus. Students should be creative problem solvers, self- motivated, and task-oriented. Those in upper level classes will be expected to produce content outside of regular school hours.

The Arts, A/V Technology and Communications (AAVTC) cluster focuses on careers in designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, writing, and publishing multimedia content including visual and performing arts and design, journalism, and entertainment services. Careers in the AAVTC Career Cluster® require a creative aptitude, a strong background in computer and technology applications, a strong academic foundation, and a proficiency in oral and written communication.
