Groundbreaking, September 30, 2024:

Dickinson ISD is growing, and we are looking forward to exciting opportunities for our students at this new campus in the future!

We had an incredible morning at the groundbreaking ceremony for Dickinson ISD's new PreK-5th Elementary #8! A huge thank you to everyone who made today special:

 The Dickinson Junior High School Fine Arts Programs brought fantastic energy to the event! Thank you to the DJHS Choir for the beautiful rendition of the national anthem, the DJHS Band for the fight song and pep music, and the Emeralds Dance Team and Cheerleaders for their spirit and support.

 Special thanks to our partners at PBK and Bartlett Cocke General Contractors for their hard work on this project.

 We also want to express our gratitude to the City of Texas City, Texas City Police Department and Galveston County Sheriff's Office for their assistance today.

 A shout-out to the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce as well as Dickinson ISD staff for assisting with setup and planning.

Finally, thank you to the Dickinson ISD voters who made this project possible with your support of the 2023 bond. We’re excited to see this vision come to life, and we can't wait to welcome our students to this new campus in Fall 2026!
