Dickinson ISD is excited to welcome new pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students for the 2025–2026 school year with a 2-step early enrollment process this spring.
From April 21 - May 2, parents are asked to complete an online application process available on the district website.

After completing the online application, parents are invited to attend the district's Pre-K and Kindergarten Early Enrollment Event on Friday, May 2 at the Education Support Center, 2218 FM 517 East in Dickinson. The event will be open from 8-11:30 a.m. and 12-3 p.m. for parents to turn in required documents and learn more about Dickinson ISD.
Kindergarten is open to students who will be five years old before September 1. For Pre-Kindergarten, students must be four years old before September 1 and meet one of the following qualifications:
- Limited English proficiency
- Low income (qualifies for national lunch program)
- Homeless (as defined by federal law)
- Military child (active duty, injured, or fallen)
- In foster care or adopted from foster care
- Child of a peace officer, firefighter, or EMT eligible for the Star of Texas Award
If you miss the early enrollment event on May 2, your next chance to complete enrollment for your pre-kindergarten or kindergarten student will be during the district's New Student Centralized Enrollment Event on July 31 or August 1 for all grade levels.
