School Board Election - May 4, 2024

Terms and Election Schedule

Board members shall be elected for three-year terms, with elections conducted annually, as follows:

Districts 1 and 2

The election for single-member districts 1 and 2 shall be held in 2023, 2026, 2029 and in three-year intervals thereafter.

Districts 3 and 4

The election for single-member districts 3 and 4 shall be held in 2021, 2024, 2027, and in three-year intervals thereafter.

Districts 5, 6 and 7

The election for single-member districts 5, 6, and 7 shall be held in 2022, 2025, 2028, and in three-year intervals thereafter.

Application Process

• Candidate filing period to file application for place on the ballot is: 

January 17, 2024 - February 16, 2024
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  

• All applications filed are public records and open to inspection upon request.
• Completed forms must be filed in the Education Support Center at 2218 FM 517 E, Dickinson, Texas 77539.
