Business and Industry Certifications


  • Principles of Floral Design Certification – Offered through CEV Multimedia and endorsed by Benz School of Floral Design, the Principles of Floral Design Certification requires students to display a thorough understanding of the principles, elements, geometry, and basic techniques used in floral design.
  • Hunter Safety - Offered through Texas Parks & Wildlife, this program covers the skills, regulations and responsibilities of hunting, wildlife conservation and the outdoors.

Arts, A/V Productions & Communications

  • Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) - Offers students a foundation for success by validating their digital skills, and offering the ability to assess students’ progress, engagement, and involvement. ACA tests are administered by Certiport.

Health Science

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider – Taught by certified American Heart Association Instructors, Basic Life Support training reinforces the students’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.
  • EKG Technician - EKG rhythms provide important data for the diagnosis of heart conditions. As a Certified EKG Technician (CET), you’ll have the credentials nearly all healthcare employers require to perform the critical tasks of administering EKGs, as well as Holter monitoring and stress testing. These tests can be performed during physical exams, when cardiovascular problems are suspected, or in preparation for surgery.
  • Patient Care Technician - Students enrolled in this program will learn to perform basic lab and patient care procedures, as well as phlebotomy techniques. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the AAH CPCT exam.
  • Pharmacy Technician – This s­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­tate certification allows students to work in local pharmacies assisting pharmacists and performing administrative duties.
  • Phlebotomy Technician – Hospitals, laboratories and other employers have an increasing demand for phlebotomists. Most seek, and many require, a professional certification. With a CPT certification, you’ll have the credentials you need to set yourself apart from other applicants as you embark on a rewarding healthcare career. As more employers require phlebotomy certifications, a CPT will help improve your marketability in a growing and rewarding field.

Human Services

  • Texas Cosmetology Operator License – Through a combination of classroom work and hands-on practice, students must complete 1,000 clock hours before they can attempt Texas’ state license exam to acquire a Texas Cosmetology Operator License.

Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security

  • International Academies of Emergency Dispatch 911 - Certification by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch® (IAED™) attests to the specific and highly specialized knowledge, skills, and attributes of emergency telecommunicators, dispatchers, mentors, quality assurance/quality improvement specialists, and instructors. It is an objective, measurable process for determining and validating the competency of individuals serving as lifelines for people needing emergency services.


  • American Welding Society (AWS) - The Certified Welder (CW) program tests welders to procedures used in the structural steel, petroleum pipelines, sheet metal, and chemical refinery welding industries. Tests for Certified Welder (CW) are performed at AWS Accredited Testing Facilities located throughout the world.
  • National Construction Center of Educational Resources (NCCER) – NCCER offers a complete series of entry- and journey-level written. All assessments are based upon the NCCER Curriculum and have been developed in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts.

Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math

  • Solidworks Certification – The next generation of engineers and designers must be equipped to solve problems skillfully and efficiently to solve the daunting challenges ahead. SOLIDWORKS provides students, educators, and researcher’s professional software, local support, and a connection to a massive user community to help them succeed.


  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) - For all automotive professionals and the businesses that employ them, the ASE Certification is a hallmark of top performance and recognized as the industry standard for the automotive industry.
  • Safety, Pollution, Prevention Certification (S/P2) - S/P2 provides training on safety and pollution prevention to every employee and student in the fleet, automotive repair and maintenance industry to reduce injury, illness and environmental impact.
