Texas Project FIRST (Families, Information, Resources, Support and Training) is a website created by parents for parents of students receiving special education services. This website is a project of the Texas Education Agency and is committed to providing accurate and consistent information to parents and families of students with disabilities.
Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association - www.txsha.org
In the state of Texas, there are approximately 8,000 speech-language pathologists and audiologists. The mission of our association is to empower speech-language pathologists and audiologists in the spirit of partnership with consumers and families. National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders "provides health information about human communication and disorders of hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech, and language. Fact sheets, brochures, reports, directories, database searches, and other resources are available for the public and health professionals. Publications are available online and through online ordering.
In addition, NIDCD established a national resource center, the NIDCD Information Clearinghouse, to help health professionals, patients, people in industry, and the public locate health information about human communication disorders."
