Dear Parents,
With the announcement by the Governor that schools will reopen and recent guidance provided by TEA, we want to provide you with information on our current plans for instruction and learning in Dickinson ISD. Please carefully review the attached links below explaining the two options that will be available for DISD students, and follow the instructions for indicating your choice in Skyward Family Access. The choice you select now will not be final; it will be used as we continue to plan for the re-opening of our schools.
The 2020-2021 school year brings unique challenges for everyone. Our community health data is monitored daily, and as we receive additional guidance from health officials, TEA, and Governor Abbott, the plans we are making now may be changed. Many, across the district, are working diligently to provide a reopening that is safe for all students and staff and a 2020-2021 educational experience that meets the needs of each learner. Your continued patience, flexibility, and support are greatly appreciated.
