Guidance and Counseling
Dickinson Independent School District students receive opportunities for counseling services at all grade levels. Counseling departments offer students guidance at each site with one or more counselors on staff and Licensed Professional Counselor on each campus.

At Dickinson High School counselors assist students in course selection, college preparation, scholarship application and testing. Dickinson High School graduates collectively are regularly awarded between one-quarter and one million dollars in scholarships for college tuition.

To begin the college preparation process, students work with counselors selecting college preparation coursework including advanced placement courses, register for and take college entrance exams and make application to the desired institutions.
