Dickinson ISD has a genuine commitment to preparing ALL students for
challenging coursework at the middle schools, junior high and high
school that will prepare students for post-high school readiness in
college, in the workplace, and/or the military. Opportunities for
enrollment in pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) in grades 6-10 and
Advanced Placement (AP) courses in grades 9-12 are open and made
available to all students.
The Pre-AP and AP course sequences are
designed to prepare students for success in the subsequent AP course and
toward earning a qualifying score on the corresponding College Board AP
Exam. Students have the potential to earn up to 6 hours of college
credit for each AP Exam with qualifying scores.
