In accordance with Texas State Board of Education rules and District policy, Dickinson ISD offers Credit by Examination (CBE) for students looking to fast-track their education through course or grade-level acceleration.

Whether you’re looking to jump ahead a grade or knock out a high school credit early, CBE allows you to earn credit without prior formal instruction. If you’ve already mastered the material, these exams give you the chance to prove it and keep moving forward.

Quick Facts for Gator Families:
Who: Available to all currently enrolled DISD students.
What: K-12 exams designed to demonstrate mastery of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
How: Students must meet specific scoring requirements to earn credit or advance a grade level.
