The Board of Trustees approved adjustments at the May 11 board meeting to the district’s middle school and junior high boundaries for 2023-2024. The Board previously approved new junior high boundaries in January; however, after carefully reviewing the difference between projected numbers and actual numbers in the student data system, adjustments had to be made to make enrollment more equitable among the junior high campuses. Middle school boundaries have been in place for several years; however, the increasing enrollment makes slight middle school adjustments necessary as well. Overall, the middle school boundary changes will rezone approximately 110 students from Dunbar Middle School to Barber Middle School. At the junior high level, approximately 180 students have been rezoned from Kranz Junior High to McAdams Junior High. Parents of students who are affected by this boundary change will receive an email as well as information posted in Skyward.
