McAdams Principal, DHS Dean of Instruction among new DISD hires

The Dickinson ISD Board of Trustees recently approved the hiring of the McAdams Junior High principal, Dean of Instruction at Dickinson High, as well as two new district administrators and two assistant principals.

The full list of new hires include: 

Jessica Rose, McAdams Junior High School Principal
Michelle Shoulders, Dickinson High School Dean of Instruction
Dr. Leone Clark, Director of Advanced Academics
J. Paul Trahan, Director of Fine Arts
Rashad See, Assistant Principal at Alternative Education Campuses
Meredith Antley, Assistant Principal at Lobit Middle School


New leadership at McAdams Junior High

At McAdams Junior High, Jessica Rose will take over as principal next school year. Rose brings nearly 20 years of educational experience to Dickinson ISD. She has worked as a teacher, instructional math coach, math content specialist, assistant principal, and most recently as the associate principal of Lomax Junior High in La Porte ISD since 2018.

She holds an associate degree in science from Paris Junior College, a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with a mathematics specialization, and a master's degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. 


Changes in administration at Dickinson High School 

With former Dean of Instruction Dr. Leone Clark being promoted to the Director of Advanced Academics, Michelle Shoulders has been named the campus’s newest Dean of Instruction. 

Shoulders joins Dickinson ISD from Pin Oak Middle School in Houston ISD, where she served as principal for the last three years.

With over 30 years of educational experience, Shoulders has worked as a math teacher, theater teacher, and assistant principal. She also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston from 2013-2018.

Shoulders holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Abilene Christian University and a master's degree in education administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix at Colorado.

An additional administrative change at the high school is Assistant Principal J. Paul Trahan being promoted to the district’s Director of Fine Arts. 


Two new DISD assistant principals named 

Joining Dickinson ISD from Bondy Elementary in Pasadena ISD is Rashad See, who will serve as an assistant principal at the district’s alternative education campuses. 

The Board of Trustees also named Meredith Antley, a former K.E. Little Elementary instructional math coach, as Lobit Middle School’s newest assistant principal.
