Social Workers serve as a liaison between school, family, community, and health providers to ensure that each student receives maximum benefit from his/her school experience.
Services offered (based on need) include: parent consultation, linking families to community resources, applying for governmental benefits such as Medicaid/CHIPS, Food Stamps, and SSI, providing assistance with medical needs, assistance with clothing and assistance with prescription medication. The goal of School Social Workers is to help children stay in school and receive maximum benefit from his/her school experience.

School Social Workers work with: • Children & Adolescents • Parents & Adult Caregivers • Teachers and other School Personnel
School Social Workers: • Help students academically & socially • Act as a liaison between home & school • Make referrals to community agencies • Provide crisis intervention
